JetBlue Award Flight Sale – Only 72 Hours to Take Advantage of 25% Discount

JetBlue is running a sale on their award flights this fall. The thing I love about JetBlue is their dynamic award pricing, which similar to Southwest. The number of points needed per flight is 100% dependent on the price of that exact flight. With American, Delta, and United, you are going to pay a flat amount of points for a flight regardless of the price.

Look at it this way, a flight from Phoenix to New York on United, American, and Delta will cost at least 12,500 points. During this JetBlue sale I found nonstop flights from Phoenix to New York for as few as 7,000 points one-way! That same flight for 7,000 points would run you $150 cash, that makes your JetBlue points worth over 2 cents a piece. (anything over 1.5 cents is great)

If you don’t have any JetBlue points you can transfer from your American Express Membership Reward points. Points transfer at a rate of 1,250 Membership Reward Points to 1,000 JetBlue TrueBlue Points. Even with a slight loss in the transfer there are still some great redemption options during this sale! Keep in mind that JetBlue has major hubs in Long Beach, CA, New York, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale, FL.

JetBlue
Long Beach (L.A.) to Reno – 1,400 points one-way

JetBlue
Long Beach (L.A.) to Sacramento – 1,600 points one-way

JetBlue
Phoenix to New York JFK – 7,000 points one-way

JetBlue
San Francisco to Las Vegas – 2,100 points one-way

I was able to find flights starting at 1,400 points one-way, considering the Jet Blue credit card gets you 30,000 points, that is really cheap! Remember, with JetBlue you get 34″ of seat pitch (compared to 31″ on Southwest and American), unlimited snacks and drinks on-board, and free DirecTV at each seat.

There is some fine print to be aware of so you won’t be stumped if the flight you want is not discounted:
